I just recently donated my old jacket (S) and bought this hunter-green parka. I'm 5'5, 140lbs, and the jacket fits a snug S. Not too long on the arms, and passes just a little bit around the bottom of my bum. Definitely keeps me super warm, the only downfall can be the zipper. It can easily get stuck due to unbalanced zipping. I had to slide in and out of my jacket for a day and a half until I finally took it to the dry cleaners, free of charge, thank goodness. Other than that, good winter wear and tear and the jacket will suit any woman just fine. I recommend it! Just purchased this parka 2 days ago and with standard shipping, it arrived not even 24 hours after it shipped! I ordered an XL and found that it is a bit snug in the waist (I typically wear a women's size 14.) It seems to run on the smaller side, but it's so warm that I don't see myself wearing many layers with it. The pockets are deep, the hood is nice and big, and I love the button front closure over the zipper. It seems nice and warm (it's about 25 degrees here today my first trek outside in it was toasty warm! This is my first North Face parka (I have one of the fleeces and love it! I despise winter but feel ready to tackle any frigid weather that the midwest throws at me thanks to this product! My husband got me this coat as an early Christmas gift! I needed a new winter coat as mine were too big, and we are going to Finland at the end of the month. I. LOVE. THIS. COAT. I would definitely size up, but it is seriously so warm! We live in Minneapolis, and the temps have been in single digits, this coat has kept me so warm in the evenings while out walking the dog. Now its definitely not a coat you go skiing in, but to wear out and about on super cold days its worth it! This is my second North Face winter coat. I had my first one for 8 years. Only reason for a new one is my last one was white and just getting very dingy looking. My husband and I own a hunt club and are avid deer and waterfowl hunters. I would put my North Face coats up against my Cabelas hunting gear any day! I compared the coat in store to a Columbia with omni-heat and this coat is warmer, better fitting (cinches at waist so doesn't make you look like a blob) and has better features! I love the deep front pockets. Phone, keys, etc won't fall out, but has mini pockets below the breast region to keep your hands warm. I would highly recommend this coat if you're looking for a nice, very warm coat to last you years to come! If you're new to North Face, you might want to try on in-store, as they run smaller. I'm a size 6 or 8, 5'3, athletic build and the large fits perfect! I purchased this for the Boston winters. My old coat wasn't cutting it, and I have high hopes for this one come November. I immediately started to overheat while just trying it on, so I hope it will do its job when it gets below freezing. I love the cut and design of the coat. The buttons are so cute, and there are so many pockets. My only concern is the zippers. They seem to stick at the bottom. Hopefully the track will become smoother with use. I purchased the grey, and the color of the fabric and the fur are true to how they look online. I have high hopes for this jacket. This is my first North Face jacket. I wanted something that was windproof and waterproof to keep me warm while walking dogs, running errands, etc. In cold weather. I'm very satisfied! It keeps me quite warm (sometimes too warm if commuting in the car or subway--but unzipping helps). I wore it for an outdoor event recently and was standing around outside for several hours. My toes were cold--but everything covered by the coat stayed nice and toasty! My only quip is I wish the sleeves were just a tad longer--they slide above my wrists if I lift my arms to shoulder height, but I do have longer that average arms. Bought this Jacket as a gift. Spent more on it than normally would but wanted something special. It fits great, warm, and comfortable. The zipper is nearly impossible to start. It will take 6-10 times to try to get it to go befor it catches and zips. Brought it back to exchange hoping it was a fluke. Nope - no fluke. This jacket keeps me warm in upstate NY and is the perfect length. It feels casual, but not too casual. I take short hikes, run errands, and go out dinner in this jacket. Just be aware that it does run small, I usually wear a medium, but after trying the jacket on in the store, I bought a large. Color: green
