A new collection of old favorites, built using the foundations of traditional workwear, vintage military uniforms and classic outdoor gear as our guide. A perennial favorite among seafarers and landlubbers alike, the peacoat dates back to the Dutch Navy circa 1720 and has remained virtually unchanged since. We love this limited-edition jacket for its functional simplicity and enduring timelessness. Based off a vintage naval commander's bridge coat (cut longer than traditional peacoats) from the early 20th century, with a 10-button, 4-pocket style not often seen today. A steadfast reproduction (down to the genuine horn buttons), it's made out of yarn-dyed Japanese cotton and wool with our own design details, like a covert twill lining and a tailored silhouette. Corduroy-lined welt handwarmer pockets and flap pockets. Standing collar with button across throat tab. Interior "Liberty Card" pocket, mp-3 player pocket. Center vent. Fully lined. Import. Dry clean. Color: black
