Heritage Research - McGregors 1940’s Drizzler and Anti Freeze mens jackets were popularised in the 1950’s by Steve McQueen and James Dean and became iconic amongst the youth of the era. The jacket quickly became a mainstream classic symbolising an understated cool and was even a favourite of Jack and Bobby Kennedy. The Drizzler jacket is made from red Italian chino cotton and features a riri zip fastening, double button stand collar, two pockets, single button hem and cuffs. Internally the jacket is unlined with English cambric cotton bound seams. Heritage Research clothing has been compiled for those who desire an authentic garment from a specific period but want a contemporary cut and aesthetic. That is, a garment which in design, components, and quality matches the original garment but can be assimilated into a modern wardrobe. The nostalgia behind these styles is what makes them attractive. They were born out of a time of necessity, designed for a specific purpose - to function and protect under adverse and challenging conditions. Since then they have become timeless fashion items, appealing to a rugged utilitarian image. Attention to authenticity, quality and history is the Heritage Research ethos. Handmade in England Heritage Research at 100% Cotton Color: red
