The Céline label was founded by Céline Vipiana in 1945 as a children's made-to-measure shoe service. Since then, the label has grown to international proportions and is now well-known for its minimalist offering tinged with vintage inspiration. Head of the label is designer Phoebe Philo, who prefers a pared-back, minimalist aesthetic, infusing this across ready-to-wear and accessories. Sunglasses range from thin framed styles that daintily perch on the nose, to bold geometric or retro cat-eye shapes in subtle colors.
