Christopher LaPolice and Rea Laccone founded the iconic label Vince, which has been producing clean lines on rich fabrics with intricate details since 2001. Ironically labeled with a masculine name, Vince started as womenswear destination. The success of their contemporary casual look spawned a men’s wear line as well. In 2006 the brand was bought by the Kellwood Company, which houses numerous fashion labels. The company’s move to take the brand public in 2013 prompted the exits of its founders. However, Vince retains its blend of baroque and nonchalant aesthetic making it perfect for day-to-night wear.
