Worldly inspiration and opportunity came together for Amy Smilovic in 1997 when she moved to Hong Kong with her husband. The American born designer always wanted to have a fashion label, so with her down time she began specifically designing garments. Soon enough she ran into another American abroad, Octavia Hyland (her grandmother’s name was Tibi) and the two began sourcing textiles for the first collection. By 2000 the brand took off and Amy moved back to the States basing her business in New York. Today the collection for women stays true to the vivid colors, simple designs, oriental inspiration and the fusion of contemporary casual sophistication.
