looking forward to HK2012
I'm madly in love with this colour! It looks lovely on any skin tone. And, yes, I'm also a die-hard Frank Zappa fan.
what to wear what to wear
As modelled by Hanneli Mustaparta. I prefer a crisp white shirt, buttoned to the collar. No pockets. Brooch at neck.
'Stay Classy' with these burgundy pants. As seen on Olivia Palermo. I bought a pair of classic Timberland boots last summer and I still haven't worn them... My original plan was to rock them with denim cutoffs, but with my chicken legs I ended up looking like Fido. Thanks to OP, my Tims have a new purpose now: to anchor a pair of burgundy trousers! Anchorman jokes aside, I think it's strikingly alluring when a woman can effortlessly pull off masculine clothing. I'd pair with a backwards gray cashmere/wool blend cardigan + leather strap timepiece + men's wool jacket like the YSL number featured in this collection.
As seen on Katie Holmes I used to reserve metallic garments solely for NYE until I realized that, when assembled correctly, they can be worn anytime of year. (During this same moment of clarity, I also realized that NYE doesn't necessitate that I should try to look like a Christmas tree...) Just remember, all that glitters ain't gold. Mrs Cruise got it right with the color scheme, I think cream/off-white looks best with a metallic bronze, or midnight blue instead of black.
More like Blue Collar Sass! Cowgirl colours, my favourite!!!! As seen on Hanneli Mustaparta Ideally, I'd commission petit H to make a sweet holster for me out of cognac leather scraps (they made a coffee cup sleeve, so it's not entirely out of the question). Since I don't have a pearl-handled kitty cat [gat?] to store in said holster, I'll settle for a masculine doctor bag in a similar cognac shade. Better to go with light blue on top and bright orange hue on bottom.
At the Racquet Club - as seen on the beautiful Hanneli Mustaparta Simple and elegant. Wearing white on white is a statement in and of itself, so the key to pulling this off is to avoid piling on ostentatious accessories. In this case, less is more. I like the idea of wearing all white with a piece or 3 of Russian gold jewelry. Alternatively, if you're a ride-or-die bada$$ chick, then rocking the Oscar de la Renta Chain Link Necklace under a fastened collar is more than appropriate (canary yellow grill, optional). Lately, I've been wearing a lot of flats so I'm partial to (more like obsessed) with the Jil Sander laced shoes. They will be mine!
