Oscar de la Renta
Dominican born designer Oscar de la Renta is one of the worlds most renowned fashion designers with a career that covers over four decades. His interest in fashion began when he began sketching for Spain’s couture houses, this soon led to an apprenticship at french fashion house Balenciaga, he later went on to work at Lanvin. In 1965 Oscar de la Renta went off to create his own solo line and this quickly won him a slew of CFDA awards securing his place as an acclaimed international designer. Oscar de la Renta is famous for his luxurious evening gowns and feminine dresses which often feature sumptuous furs and ornate detailing.▼
