What started as a hobby blossomed into a career and quickly flourished into one of the best start up success stories. Susan Koger was an avid vintage shopper throughout high school. By the time she got to college her wardrobe was bursting with an abundance of inspiring retro products. So she decided along with her then boyfriend to sell them online. When the two graduated college they started ModCloth as a business in 2006 selling vintage inspired clothing from independent designers. Needless to say the demand was high creating a viable company. Susan and Eric got married and were featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2013. A plethora of independent designers are found on ModCloth today selling retro inspired lifestyle collections for both men and women that have an unmistakably nostalgic aesthetic perfect for the contemporary urbanite.
