Miuccia Prada launched Miu Miu in 1992 as a younger, more fashion-forward sister brand to Prada. The lower priced, eclectic clothes have since gained a loyal celebrity following including Chloe Sevigny, Kirsten Dunst and Camilla Belle. Miuccia Prada successfully blends hip styling with classic tailoring; the Miu Miu vision is quirky often featuring bright colours, wild prints and flirty feminine dresses. Recently Miu Miu accessories have become increasingly popular, with their patent totes and leather satchels being the most desired styles. Miuccia Prada has described the Miu Miu label as ‘more about fashion than Prada, more about atmosphere, more sensual. It's light and free. Not serious.’ This carefree approach to the brand has made it one of the most successful labels of the past decade.▼
