Manolo Blahnik

Only the elegant and artistically beautiful Manolo Blahnik heels could be coveted by an ordinary street thug, as Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw discovered in one episode. The Spanish designer has been producing his iconic footwear since the 70’s, but the brand didn’t epitomize into fashion history until the late 90’s. Past American Vogue editor Diana Vreeland saw a portfolio of Blahnik designed shoes and costumes for a theatre production in 1974. She quickly fell in love with the shoes encouraging Blahnik to just focus on producing footwear solely. He took the advice and never stopped raising the bar for designing female footwear beauty and style.
