Lanvin

The year 1909 marked a turning point for the house of Lanvin as it was admitted into the Syndicat de la Couture. This reaffirmed Jeanne Lanvin’s status as a traditional couturier trained in producing intricate, ornate clothing at the highest of qualities. The label became revered for its trademark beading details and light, delicate colour palette. Lanvin has since become an unrivaled vision of luxury and grace and is now the oldest fashion house still in operation; creating bridal gowns, accessories and footwear alongside the initial womenswear collection. In 2001 Israeli designer Alber Elbaz was appointed creative director breathing new life into this prestigious brand. Bow tie loving Alber Elbaz describes his designs as ‘classic with a twist’ and it is this mentality that has revitalized and refined the Lanvin look. Elbaz creates clothes that have an innate appeal to women, they are timeless and reflect a level of elegance that is second to none.
