I firmly believe that clothes can tell a lot about the person who wears them. I like the clothes that tell the most provocative stories, the threads that are not afraid to speak for themselves, and the clothes that make the most profound statements... My favorite style inspirations include Morticia Adams, Elvira, Tilda Swinton, and Josephine Baker- to name a few. I appreciate street styles and aristocratic styles, just as long as they both can embody a rich and flavorful aesthetic. I like clothes that confer a sense of pride and dignity, all of which can be shattered or re-enforced upon opening one's mouth :-) Some of my favorite movies, that are more or less about clothes :-p, include KAMIKAZE GIRLS, THE LITTLE VAMPIRE, THE LOST BOYS, PURPLE RAIN, and THE CREMASTER CYCLE, the last of which I have yet to see :-( I like the fantastical, and I like the obscene: the cerebral, and the crude... unlike Momoko Ryugasaki however, I want to wear the clothes that are worthy of me, the fabrics do not the woman make. ▼
