Although it’s the youngest line of the Burberry brand, greatness and longevity is expected since its stellar debut in 2009. Burberry Brit was launched to recapture the youth offering stylish casual wear at entry level pricing. There was no mistaking the line’s motivations when it hired the youthful Emma Watson, a familiar face for Harry Potter fans, to embody the image. Not only did the brand try to connect with the millennials through this line, it also reached out to them where they go most – online. In 2009 Burberry launched their Facebook page and a separate online site celebrating its classic trench coat (Art Of The Trench). That year the brand moved into its new headquarters in Westminister, while New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg declared May 28 “Burberry Day".
